Your child's planner and Daily Report or "gold sheet" will be used for communicating each day. Please initial planner and sign gold sheet daily, so that I know you have discussed your child's school day with them. I will also be sending out a newsletter via email each week. This will include important dates, events, reminders and homework.
Additionally, a homework sheet will be sent home on Mondays. Assignments are to be completed and turned in daily. Part of your homework will be to read for 20 minutes every day. This is a good time to read books for Accelerated Reader. Students will be required to read and pass at least two 0.5 point AR books or one 1.0 point book each week by Friday. Click the AR Book Find link at the top to check if your favorite titles are AR books! You may also want to set aside a regular study time each day for no longer than 20 minutes. Some daily practice activities may include practicing addition and subtraction facts or studying weekly vocabulary and spelling words.
If you would like to come in and have lunch with your child, our lunch time is from 11:30-12:00.
